This is the last minute reminder for the Route 66 event. We are still in need to operators for the 8 day event. It’s difficult for us to be on the air with out the help. If you are interested in operating either as a home station, at Patton or at the Wig Wam Motel please let me know so we can get you on the schedule. Even if your not sure if you want to be an actual operator or not up to speed working a special event, you are still welcomed.
The Patton Station will be on the air on the follow days:Saturday, Sunday and Monday 3:00 pm to 10:00 pmTuesday 8:00 am to 3 pmWednesday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pmThursday and Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
The Wig Wam Motel (2728 E, Foothill Blvd San Bernardino) schedule is:Monday 13th and Thursday 16th 10:00 am to 6:00 pmThey also need help with setup and tear down of the station before and after the times shown
There are other club members that will be operating that maybe you can ask them to tag along to see how to work the event. If you come out to either Patton and Wig Wam stations, you can have hands on experience along with one on one help to you learn about HF radio or events.
IMPORTANT If you want to operate from your home station as the W6C station you can but, you need to be put on the schedule first so contact me for instructions.
PLEASE let me know before Friday the 10th if you want to help out. I have attached a flyer that I have sent out for you to look at. If you have any questions, please let me know
